GE Vernova is winning bids around the globe for many different types of projects:
- Powered by GE Vernova’s 7HA.03 combined cycle equipment, the first block of Hsinta power plant started to deliver 1.3 GW of electricity in Taiwan. This is the first of three blocks for Taiwan Power Company Nan Bu Construction Organization. Other GE H-class units will be used to gradually replace other coal-fired units present at the Hsinta site.
- Six GE Vernova LM2500XPRESS* aeroderivative gas turbines (224 MW) have been ordered by the Puerto Rican Equipment Procurement and Construction company RG Engineering. This will modernize Puerto Rican plants at Daguao, Jobos, and Yabucoa managed by the private operator Genera PR (Genera).
- GE Vernova and Rio Tinto are collaborating to upgrade eight turbine-alternator units at the at the Isle Maligne hydropower plant in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region of Quebec, Canada. The plant features twelve Francis hydropower units in total. They are used to power aluminum smelters.
- IHI and GE Vernova have built a large-scale combustion test facility for ammonia gas turbine development. Testing in the new facility at IHI’s Aioi Works in Hyogo, Japan is expected to accelerate the development of the new gas turbine combustors starting in the summer of 2025.
