EthosEnergy adds Frame 9FA.03 capabilities.
According to the International Energy Agency, electricity demand is set to rise by 3.7% in 2026 due to rising AI data center demand. With its taking three or more years for new turbines to be delivered often, and more time to build new power plants, EthosEnergy is gearing up its ability to upgrade the existing fleet of turbines to shorten the timeframe needed for people who want to add more capacity.
Life extension, refurbishment, and targeted optimization are increasingly practical ways to add capacity, improve efficiency, and buy time – without waiting years for new equipment to arrive. According to Future Market Insights, the global gas turbine services market is expected to be worth around $54.6 billion by the mid-2030s.
EthosEnergy has knowledge across a broad range of gas turbines, including Frames 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9. In 2025, the company acquired Turbine Services Limited (TSL) to increase critical parts and technical resources. And now it has announced the successful acquisition of Intellectual Property (IP) that enhances the company’s competence in servicing Frame 9FA.03 gas turbines.
This expands the company’s existing in-house gas turbine capabilities, which include rotor lifetime extension solutions, maintenance, parts and component repairs, field services, optimization and upgrades. In addition, it provides the technical foundation for supporting hotgaspath parts and combustion parts for Frame 9FA.03, ensuring comprehensive coverage for these important sections of the turbine. The company did not reveal who it obtained this IP from.

In the latter part of 2025, EthosEnergy and Advanced Power announced that Carroll County Energy achieved Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
It is awarded to facilities that go beyond regulatory compliance by showing a sustained commitment to preventing workplace injuries through employee engagement, safety culture and proactive hazard control. Only 0.02% of OSHA monitored sites achieve the VPP Star Status rating. Carroll County Energy is a 700 MW combined cycle generating facility that uses natural gas to produce power for homes and businesses.
Advanced Power manages the facility, in Carrollton, Ohio, and Ethos Energy provides ongoing operations and maintenance services. Carroll County Energy is one of the few power generation facilities in the nation to receive VPP Star certification.
EthosEnergy Abu Dhabi, a provider of engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, overhaul and repair services, has been designated an Approved Repair Facility (ARF) by Meyer-Fabritech, covering the full suite of API 16A product lines. As an OEM-authorized repair facility, EthosEnergy Abu Dhabi will service oil and gas safety systems such as blowout preventers (BOPs), spools and adapters, ram blocks, packers and top seals, annular packing units, bonnet seal kits/CRKs and other spare parts related to BOP equipment.
EthosEnergy has divested its steam turbine and centrifugal compressor business to Rotating Machinery Services (RMS). This enables the company to streamline its operations and focus on its core business, while maintaining a close relationship with RMS. The deal hands over four established service and manufacturing facilities in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands to RMS as well as over 160 experienced employees.
As part of the transaction, RMS will revive the TurboCare Steam and Compression brand. TurboCare has been around for decades in the turbomachinery servicing business. Originally part of Demag Delaval Turbomachinery, TurboCare was acquired by Siemens in 2001 and then became part of EthosEnergy.
Now that RMS has taken over, it inherits U.S. service shops in Chicopee and Sterling, Massachusetts. They will perform blade, seal and diaphragm manufacturing, and steam turbine engineering to support legacy GE Fitchburg steam turbines. The Chicopee shop is a dedicated center for steam turbine support, specializing in airfoils, packing and diaphragm making for multiple OEM steam equipment. It combines independently developed design archives with modern analytical tools to provide engineering solutions, and advanced component manufacturing for a variety of OEM steam turbines.
RMS also inherits a full-service repair and overhaul center for centrifugal compressors and steam turbines in Perris, California. It will serve the western United States, with complete disassembly, machining, welding, balancing, and field service capabilities.
“This transaction reflects our commitment to ensuring customers of our steam turbine and compressor business continue to receive world-class support,” said Ana Amicarella, EthosEnergy CEO. “RMS is the ideal partner to carry forward the TurboCare legacy, combining deep technical expertise with a customer-first approach. We believe they are best positioned to build on this heritage, and we look forward to a continued partnership that delivers exceptional value to the industry.”
In Europe, EthosEnergy handed RMS a European service hub location in Worcester, UK. It is focused on global steam turbine blade repair, part reconditioning, rotor balancing, and field/outage support for customers across the UK and continental Europe.
In addition, RMS assumes responsibility for a center of excellence in Enschede, The Netherlands for centrifugal compressor aftermarket engineering, upgrades, repairs, and field services for customers in the (petro)chemical and Oil & Gas industries in Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.
