Vericor Power Systems has released two families of 4 MW mobile gas turbine-generator systems aimed at the oil and gas, industrial, and data center markets. The two families are the BJ Titan Genset and the Dragon PowerGT43M. They are available either trailer-mounted or containerized and are mainly aimed at field operations. They are well suited to remote operation and can be equipped with Vericor Remote Performance Monitoring (RPM) for predictive maintenance and early fault detection.
Both have a compact footprint and can run on field gas, natural gas, CNG, and LNG and liquid fuel, and switch between them at full load. The first units of both families are scheduled for delivery in Q3 2025.
These 4 MW packages are built on two of Vericor’s most successful turbines, the TF50F and ASE50B aeroderivatives. They have accrued over 15 million operating hours in harsh military and commercial service. Their heat rate is 11,300 Btu/kWh and thermal efficiency is 30.2%. The fuel flow rate is 2,180 lb/hr and the exhaust flow is 31.27 lb/sec with an exhaust temperature of 1,113℉.
